The Butler Family Fund is concerned with homelessness
and criminal justice reform. Our vision is of a world
where being low-income does not mean having to choose
between housing and food, and where everyone can have
faith in our system of justice. The Board is particularly
interested in supporting organizations that are committed
to addressing these problems through systemic change,
advocacy, policy reform, and innovative direct service
programs. The Fund also has a smaller, Board-administered
program in the area of global warming.
The Fund gives preference to organizations with small
or modest size operating budgets and to projects located
in the following geographic areas: California, Chicago,
New York, Philadelphia, Wisconsin, Washington, D.C.,
and London. The Board of the Butler Family Fund meets
twice a year to make funding decisions, once in the
late autumn and once in the late spring.
The Butler Family Fund does not accept unsolicited
proposals or letters of inquiry. |
